Let's Get Cooking!

Hi everyone - and happy New Year! What better way to ring in 2016 than starting to cook some amazing recipes with a fabulous group of people from all over the world?

Just to get everyone on the same page, here is how we're envisioning the process will go:

  • Every month will have a featured dish from Rose's Melting Pot
  • You will have that entire month to bake the dish and post the results on your blog
  • We'll post the "Roundup" (a summary post highlighting everyone's results) the following month
  • If you didn't get a chance to cook - no problem! We will be retroactively updating the Roundup as people post. So don't worry if you miss the deadline. This is meant to be a fun, stress-free environment!
  • We also thought it would be fun if, when posting your monthly dish, to have fun highlighting what else you made with the dish (ie, if it was lamb stew, did you serve it with a special veggie side dish or homemade bread?) Have fun with this, and be as creative as you want!
  • Please email or post in the comments the direct link to your cooking blog (Blogspot and Wordpress are both great options and free to use)
  • Fellow Melting Potters can also join our private Facebook group for community chatting and dialog. It's a great way to ask questions and connect with each other
  • The best part - Rose herself has offered some updates to the cookbook recipes and we will be utilizing them as we go!
  • The more the merrier, if anyone else would like to join then just give a holler!
If you have any questions, please email us at rosesmeltingpotters (at) gmail.com

Here's our first three months. Post holiday season, we wanted to keep things simple to start off, and we'll do our best to arrange things seasonally appropriate to make sourcing ingredients easier.

January - The Trellis French Roasted Garlic Soup (pg 4)
February - Perfect American French Toast with Raspberry sauce (pg 215)
March - Grandma Sarah's Lamb with Prune Glaze (pg 153 -- will be updating per Rose)
